To be admitted into the Master of Public Health at Pace University, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a graduate of an accredited baccalaureate program
- Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0
- At least one undergraduate math course

Program Information

This 42-credit MPH program, delivered by Pace's College of Health Professions in collaboration with the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, is focused on applied skills, preparing graduates for exciting careers in public health with a focus on global and community health.

- Designed for flexible study while leveraging Pace's superior location in the heart of New York City, the MPH is offered in a hybrid format comprised of in-person, web-assisted, and online courses.
- Our classes are small, enabling excellent mentorship by professors. Hybrid delivery keeps travel to a minimum, while providing students opportunities to develop professional relationships with their cohort and across the program.
- A dynamic curriculum, focused on applied skillsets and experiential learning.

Full-time studies can be completed in four semesters including one summer (16 months). For example, a student who begins the program in the fall semester would proceed through fall, spring, summer, and next fall, graduate at the end of that second fall semester.
Part-time studies may be completed in seven semesters including two summers (24 months), completing two courses each semester.

The program has two entry terms, allowing students to start in either the fall or spring.

We do not require an admission exam for consideration (i.e. GRE, GMAT).
However, if you earned a bachelor's degree in a country where English is not the official language and English is not your first language, you must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) OR the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Pearson PTE that are no more than two years old. In general, a TOEFL score of 88 (Internet-based version) or an IELTS score of 7.0, PTE score of 60, or Duolingo score of 115 is sufficient to demonstrate the requisite proficiency in English for admission into the College of Health Professions academic programs.

Tuition and Affordability

Tuition for the program is $1,160 per credit.

Although this program is not eligible for merit/academic scholarship, there are other ways that you can subsidize the cost of your education.

Pace University also offers monthly payment plans, which enables students or their families to pay monthly installments on their account toward tuition, fees, and housing.

Graduate Assistantships provide opportunities to contribute to teaching and/or faculty research in exchange for tuition remission and stipend.
They are available on a competitive basis for fully admitted degree-seeking students.
Depending on funding levels, there may be Graduate Assistantships available on a competitive basis within the MPH program or from other units at the university.
Within the College of Health Professions, completion of one semester of studies prior to application is recommended.

MPH Curriculum

Pace’s MPH has one concentration: Global Health Equity.
Concentration courses focus on using skills learned in the foundational units to effectively identify and reduce health disparities in local and global settings.

Yes, each student will complete a 120-hour Applied Practice Experience with an external partner to gain experience in the field.
Students are responsible for finding their placement with the support of our Fieldwork Team.

Students may completed additional internships if time permits. The Integrative Learning Experience – Capstone course provides more opportunities to work directly with external partners towards completion of professional deliverables.
International Students

When enrolled full time, the program fully complies with Visa requirements.

Students are eligible to apply for CPT after completion of two semester of study. CPT is not typically required to begin unpaid Applied Practice Experience placements.
The program qualifies for the OPT 24-month STEM extension. Once enrolled, all visa and work authorization queries may be referred to the Office of International Students and Scholars.
