- There will be no hair and makeup artist, so please come camera-ready. Keep your hairstyle and makeup simple and professional.
- Please wear appropriate business attire. Avoid logos and busy patterns on fabrics.
- Do not wear hats.
No need to RSVP. Just show up! Please be aware that no photos will be taken between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
FYI… prior to getting your photo taken, you will be required to sign a release form.
If you can’t make it to these photoshoots, but your department is looking to have your photo displayed on their website, here are some tips on how to take great headshots at home:
- Look for a neutral background that contrasts what you are wearing.
- Think about proper lighting. Light should be shining on you, preferably from the front and not from behind you. Avoid shadows on your face.
- Watch out for light reflection on your glasses if you wear them.
- Remain in good posture for the photo; it exudes confidence and professionalism.
- Take multiple photos so you can choose your favorite one.
- Wait until the professional headshots are ready and use them as inspiration for your own photo shoot.
