First-Generation Celebration Week

This fall, Pace University will host a week-long celebration dedicated to honoring and uplifting the success of first-generation college students, faculty, staff, and alumni across the University community. Throughout the week, we will offer dynamic and engaging programming—ranging from guest speakers and panels on first-generation student success, to Lunch & Learn sessions, mentorship program launches, and opportunities to connect across shared experiences.

The celebration will also highlight first-generation voices through campus features and storytelling, distribute first-gen swag, and foster meaningful connections through collaborative events. By engaging departments, student organizations, and University leadership, this week will serve as a unifying and energizing moment—strengthening community, building partnerships, and centering the lived experiences of first-generation students across Pace.
