Martin oversees all programs and initiatives housed in International Academic Support (IAS). He also advises students in Global Pathways, Semester at Pace, and International Access to ensure that they reach their full academic potential. He manages the IAS's tutoring program, monitors student progression, and liaises between the English Language Institute, academic advisors, professors, and other stakeholders to address international students' needs and facilitate class registration, transfer credits, and student holds. Martin also participates in orientation, rates placement tests for the English department, and teaches UNV 101 and ENG 110A.

Martin earned a B.A. in General Teacher Training from Nord University, and an M.A. in TESOL from Hawaii Pacific University. He has presented and published research on speech recognition's affordances for language learners (PDF), and has taught and advised large and diverse groups of language learners in Hawaii, New York, Norway, and the United Kingdom. To further develop as an international education professional, Martin is also pursuing an M.B.A. in Strategy and International Business at Pace University.
