Student Pace Portal Accounts

Student Pace Portal accounts are automatically generated when a student accepted to Pace. The Pace Portal is used throughout a student's academic career for:

  • registration and grades
  • financial aid status
  • class schedule
  • student records
  • health insurance waiver
  • policies and general information
  • student account forms
  • personal information
  • and more...

A student's username can be located in the Pace Directory. A student's Pace Portal username is their email username minus the @pace.edu; for example, ab12345n.

The student's username and password is used for all of Pace's systems such as the following accounts: Pace Portal, Email, Web File System and the ITS Help Desk.

Before using any of the Pace University online systems, you must first activate your account. This is a one-time process. Pace users should go to adam.pace.edu to activate their account if logging in for the first time.

The initial password format for new students accounts will be the user’s initials from his/her first and last name (lower-case), followed by a hyphen, and then their date of birth in MM-DD-YYYY format (add hyphens between month, day, and year). For example, if your name is John Doe, and you were born on January 3, 1998, your initial password would be jd-01-03-1998.

If the system still does not accept your initial password, one possible reason is that the date of birth is missing in the system, or it was added AFTER the account was created. In that case, try replacing your birth date portion of the initial password with your 9-character University ID to complete your initial password. Following the same example as above for John Doe with sample UID: U12345678, the backup initial password would be jd-U12345678.

Faculty and Staff Pace Portal Accounts

Faculty and staff Pace Portal accounts are automatically generated after the initial hiring paperwork is processed. The Pace Portal is used to access:

  • personal information
  • employee information
  • benefits statement
  • KRONOS online timesheet
  • Internet Native Banner and Banner self-service
  • class rosters and grades
  • and more...

The faculty or staff's username and password is used for all of Pace's systems such as the following accounts: Pace Portal, Email, KRONOS, Web File System and the ITS Help Desk. A faculty or staff's username can be located in the Pace Directory.

Student Email Accounts

Pace Email

Student email accounts are automatically generated after the student registers for classes and are active for the duration of a student's academic career at Pace University.

Students are issued electronic mail accounts (email), which are used from time to time by the University administration and faculty as a means of communication. Students are expected to familiarize themselves with their account as soon as possible after registration and are required to check email regularly.

Students may forward messages from their Pace-provided email account to any non-Pace personal account. The University provides assistance in establishing this mail forwarding. However, the University does not assume any liability for mail delivery outside of its network or for third-party systems.

Student email account addresses can be found through the Pace Directory. The student's username and password is the same as their Pace Portal username and password.

Faculty and Staff Email Accounts

Faculty and staff email accounts are automatically created after the initial hiring paperwork is processed.

The faculty or staff's username and password is the same as their Pace Portal username and password.

Faculty or staff can access their email accounts by going to the ITS Email webpage.

Personal Web Space

To request space to host web documents, a valid e-ail account is required. You must then go to Web Space Request and complete the online form.

To create a club or organization site, the advisor for this group must submit a request via helpdesk.pace.edu.

Server Accounts

Server accounts provide access to personal and departmental data and are available for Pace University faculty and staff.

Access is provided to departmental resources currently stored on Pace servers or you can obtain your own personal space.

To obtain a server account, ask your IMO or department head to submit a request via helpdesk.pace.edu.

Guest Accounts For Pace Visitors

ITS offers a self-service system for students, faculty, and staff to generate guest accounts. Students, faculty, and staff sponsors can request accounts for people who are visiting Pace University for a limited time. A Pace guest account is to be used when an un-affiliated party (i.e.; non-student, faculty or staff) desires to access any of Pace's Information Technology services.

Wireless-only guest access: If all you need is wireless-only guest access, please PACE-GUEST webpage. Students, faculty, and staff can request wireless-only guest accounts for visitors.

Advanced Access for guests (Pace Staff/Faculty Sponsors Only): For more advanced access, sponsors must go to the IT Resource Access Request site and follow the login instructions using their Pace Portal Username and Password. Once logged in, a sponsor can either request a new account, or make changes to accounts that have already been requested by them.
