Lubin student Matthew Zoller '25 is acquiring real-world experience in financial services, enhancing his academic studies and preparing him for studying overseas.

Making the leap to college is a big transition for anyone, so several of Pace University’s student leaders recently shared their best advice for first-year students. Here’s what they had to say about getting involved and finding your place as a Setter:

Lubin student George Davis '25 credits his coursework, Career Services, Excel certifications, workshops, and networking opportunities with helping him land his second internship with AMC Networks. 

Despite beginning law school elsewhere, transfer student Joseph Martinez always felt that Haub Law was where he belonged. “Haub Law, for me, was always the goal,” said Joseph.

Imagine worrying that your community park might be contaminated and unsafe. This concern was the focus of the Environmental Studies and Science department where Assistant Professor S. Perl Egendorf and her students collaborated with the nonprofit Gotham Park to test and analyze the environment.

A single mom with two children, Haub Law student Samantha Mariano describes her path to law school as “unconventional at best.” Following her decision to leave an abusive situation, Samantha was referred to Connecticut Legal Services through a local domestic violence organization.

From working closely with dedicated professors to actively engaging in campus life, Sociology/Anthropology and Women’s and Gender Studies student Holly Winn '25 is driven to balance her rigorous academics with meaningful extracurricular involvement.
