The Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) has endorsed the master’s degree as both the entry-level and terminal degree of the profession.

Prerequisites
The Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies Completion Program consists of 30 credits, which includes four courses (12 credits) of study in a distance-learning format. Prospective applicants will be awarded 18 advanced standing credits (200 hours=1 credit) for 3,600 hours post-baccalaureate clinical experience with attestation of clinical competency.
