Professor Elizabeth D. Katz of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law has been selected as the 2021–2022 Haub Law Emerging Scholar in Gender & Law for her paper Sex, Suffrage, and State Constitutional Law: Women’s Legal Right to Hold Public Office, 33 Yale J. Law & Feminism. 110 (2022). Professor Katz is an Associate Professor of Law at Washington University in St. Louis School. During the 2022–2023 academic year, Professor Katz will be a visiting professor of law at Northwestern, Duke, and Boston College. She teaches first-year criminal law, family law, and a seminar on the law’s treatment of race and religion in family contexts, historically and today.

Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University Professor Leslie Y. Garfield Tenzer is the host of a newly launched podcast, Legal Tenzer: Casual Conversations on Noteworthy Legal Topics. Created in collaboration with West Academic, Legal Tenzer, will serve as a platform for casual conversations on timely legal issues between Professor Tenzer and prominent legal scholars and practitioners.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is proud to have been ranked #11 out of the top 20 ABA-accredited law schools for women. A Women in Law School report from Enjuris compiled data from the ABA on law school enrollment in 2021. For the sixth year in a row, women made up the majority (55%) of law school students pursuing JD degrees in the United States. The report broke down law school gender diversity by state and highlighted the top-ranked schools for women. Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University Professors Bridget J. Crawford and Emily Gold Waldman announce the release of their book “Menstruation Matters: Challenging the Law’s Silence on Periods,” published by NYU Press. The book explores the burgeoning menstrual advocacy movement and analyzes how law should evolve to take menstruation into account. It asks what the law currently says about menstruation and provides a roadmap for legal reform that can move society closer to a world where no one is held back or disadvantaged by menstruation.

Pace University and the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC/CUNY) have partnered to offer transfer opportunities for BMCC students. At a signing ceremony held June 8, President Krislov and Dr. Anthony E. Munroe, President of BMCC, announced the program, becoming available this Fall.

Professor Sonia Suchday, Ph.D., chair of the Psychology Department in the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at Pace University in New York City, has been appointed to Pace’s Board of Trustees.
