professors working in a media studio on New York City campus

Developing and implementing digital media into a course should be an organized, simple, and professional process. The mission of the Online Learning Center (OLC) is to provide all Pace faculty with the technology and support to create high quality digital content for their courses and programs. Constructed in the summer of 2021 and located at W608A at One Pace Plaza, the OLC is a staffed, high-tech environment for faculty to access the resources required to produce professional digital media for online courses.

The center is comprised of:

  • A 25-seat Classroom Studio with multiple cameras, studio lighting, studio microphones, a room-sized green screen, a black curtain, and additional digital media capacity to produce video or broadcast live events. One Button Studio is available for quick video recording. Tricaster is available for recording and streaming more complex video, with OLC staff providing production support.
  • Two Studios for recording and editing with an iMac, HD camera, ring light, and green screen. A Fuji flatbed scanner is also available for digitizing instructional materials. OLC staff are available for consultation.

OLC staff are available to assist faculty throughout the production process in-person and virtually. Please see our Book a Studio page to use the center.

The Online Learning Center Blog is where OLC staff share new ideas every week. Find example videos, tutorials, and learn more about current and upcoming OLC projects.
