Although he's far away from home, Danny Canales '24 is finding his on-campus family at the Lubin School of Business. Not only is the native Los Angeleno building a network within our Arts and Entertainment Management program, but he is also creating a community within several organizations that promote culture, the arts, and athletics.

Computer science student Sachin Archer knows what it’s like to defy expectations. His journey has led him from Jamaica to New York City, and now the world. Take it from him, it’s never too early to dive in: “I'm doing all these amazing things. And I'm only 19.”

Lubin student Richelle Fatalo '25 isn't afraid to step out of her comfort zone. When the opportunity to study abroad arose, Richelle went after it—despite having never set foot in the country that she would soon call home. Not only did she get to visit new cities and see historic landmarks, but she also gained valuable insight into how marketing is done in other countries.

Unhappy in her job at the time, Eliana J. Cruz ’26 decided to study for the LSAT and apply to attend law school. “It was a long time coming, with each path my career took, I became more interested in the law. Finally, I decided to finally take a leap of faith. At the same time, I switched careers and became a paralegal. To me, it made sense that if I was working, I should work directly with attorneys while attending law school.”

Camden Robertson ’23, Peace and Justice Studies, was awarded the 2023 Best Undergraduate Thesis of the Year by the Peace and Justice Studies Association for her work “Extinction Rebellion: A Case Study of Nonviolent Climate Activism.”

Anastasia Khanukov, highlights her unique path from an interest in politics and international relations to a deep dive into economics and research, exploring topics that impact society profoundly.

Attending business school in a new country can be tough, but with courage and hard work, Syed Mubasheer Ahmed '23 is making it look easy. Not only is he involved in on-campus clubs, but Syed is also taking advantage of all the resources available to students—and it's his commitment to attending Career Services' events that landed him a coveted summer internship with EY.

Four students from the Lubin School of Business were selected for United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network (MCN) Fellowships. They will be part of the UN's global leadership development program as they launch their own individual or group projects relating to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students will have the opportunity to connect with peers and leaders from all over the world while engaging in world-class professional development sessions.
