Today’s college student often isn’t who you think she is. More and more, students fall into one of the categories labeled “non-traditional.” They may be older. They may have taken some time off. They may be veterans, have work experience, or be able to study only part-time. They may have children or other family members to support.

Marvin Krislov, president of Pace University, is committed to providing all students, regardless of economic background, access to the transformative power of education. He was previously president of Oberlin College and, prior to that, vice president and general counsel at the University of Michigan, where he led the legal defense of the University’s admission policies that resulted in the 2003 Supreme Court decision recognizing the importance of student body diversity.

After 10 years as president of Oberlin College, Marvin Krislov came on board as the president of Pace in 2017. He is deeply committed to the importance of diversity and the notion that all students, regardless of their economic backgrounds, should have access to the transformative power of education.

Recently, Pace University released our first-ever Pace Business Poll. It was a deep look at business conditions in the New York City metro area, where we have campuses in lower Manhattan and Westchester County.

“We’re excited about fully reopening,” says Marvin Krislov, president of Pace, which at press time was “expecting to be fully in-person for the fall with a full slate of activities, including athletics and community events.”
