At Pace, you’ll find AI is in our DNA. With more than 30 years of experience teaching and researching AI, our faculty work with students directly on meaningful AI projects that contribute to the field. In addition to project-based classwork, students do research with faculty members in extracurricular settings, such as the Seidenberg Summer Undergraduate Research program.

In recent years, students have worked on undergraduate AI research projects with faculty, including researching autonomous AI-driven flight for small, unmanned AI systems, evaluating the ability of LLMs to generate code for classic arcade games, bridging gaps in awareness regarding cybersecurity in LLMs, and studying automated vs. manual feature assessment in knee replacement surgery prediction using AI. The breadth of research students can undertake covers just about every topic, from art and design to healthcare and cybersecurity.

Throughout the academic year, faculty run AI workshops and hackathons, as well as conferences and speaker events where professionals working in artificial intelligence, many of whom are Pace alumni, share their experience with students.
