On Wednesday, February 9, Pace’s Chief Wellness Officer, in collaboration with the College of Health Professions is hosting a special event to address mental health and resilience in the student population at Pace.

Pace University's Lienhard School of Nursing alumna Sarah Gruhn was hired by Greenwich Hospital before senior graduation. As a hardworking and dedicated student with a passion for science, Sarah always knew she wanted an occupation that would help others. Sarah decided to pursue nursing after being diagnosed with Lymes Disease and was sick for almost five years. The time she spent around nurses who impacted her recovery and brought her comfort solidified the fact that nursing was the career for her. Sarah was inspired by the opportunities that nurses have to engage and connect with patients while they overcome their struggles.

Pace’s offices of Sexual and Interpersonal Wellness and Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research contributed $1,000 to the Pace Cares Fund as an incentive to complete this year’s HEDS Sexual Assault Campus Climate Survey.

Fluent in three languages and trained as a classical ballerina, Isabella D'Alesio moved from Italy to New York to complete her bachelor's degree. After spending some time as a paralegal at a large international law firm, her decision to pursue a career in law was solidified. Now a 1L at Haub Law, Isabella hopes to begin a legal career in the international/environmental law field. President of Setter Stage Richmond Landicho ’20 interned twice for NBCUniversal: once for integrated marketing and then for the Late Night team. But it was a mistake he made that ultimately led to his success. Also? He’s a black belt in taekwondo. Yeah.

Pace University’s Lienhard School of Nursing student, Celeste Fetter, will be running the Boston Marathon on April 18, 2022, as part of the Brigham and Women's Stepping Strong Team. As a senior nursing student, aspiring trauma nurse, and New Englander, Celeste was inspired to take on the challenge of running this marathon in support of Gillian Reny, who was one of the 39 critically injured patients during the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing.
