Pace University Art Gallery is pleased to present “To Be Made Whole,” an exhibition featuring artists Elia Alba, Desmond Beach, Nicholas Cueva, Jeanne F. Jalandoni, Juan Sánchez, and Melissa Zexter who each unravel and reassemble identity via a synthesis of representational imagery and tactile textiles. The exhibit opens with a free public reception on Friday, June 2, from 5:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. and was co-curated by Prof. Sarah Cunningham, the gallery director, and Francisco Maldonado ’23, who received a research assistantship from Pace’s Center for Undergraduate Research Experiences.

Maria T. Iacullo-Bird, Ph.D., assistant provost for research and clinical associate professor of history, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at Pace University, has been elected 2024–2025 president of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR).

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) delivered Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University’s 45^th commencement ceremony address to graduates at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York. Together with Harvard Professor Bruce H. Mann, a legal scholar and historian, she received the Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, the highest honor conferred by the Law School, recognizing their lifelong contributions to public service and the legal profession.

Jeffrey Prieto delivered the annual Gilbert and Sarah Kerlin Lecture on Environmental Law on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, entitled “Addressing the Triple Environmental Challenges of Climate Change, Environmental Injustice, and Pollution: An EPA Perspective.”

Standing before thousands of graduates and their supporters at Pace University’s Commencement, alumnus Telfar Clemens ’08 yesterday spoke of his path from a student finding his way in lower Manhattan to a celebrated fashion designer and founder of the global label Telfar.

On Friday, April 14, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University presented its triennial Pace International Law Review Symposium and its annual Dyson Lecture. The theme of the symposium was 21^st Century Conflict: International Law and the War in Ukraine. The Dyson Lecture, entitled The United States and Ukraine: One Year On, was delivered by Professor Monica Hakimi, the William S. Beinecke Professor of Law at Columbia Law School.

Pace University’s documentary film team, PaceDocs, last night premiered its latest film, "For the Love of Food: Pour l’amour de la Cuisine" to a full theater at Jacob Burns Film Center. It was followed by and question-and-answer session with the audience and filmmakers.

Pace University’s board of trustees voted yesterday to launch the Sands College of Performing Arts this fall. The college, which will commence with the 2023–2024 academic year, is named in recognition of a $25 million gift from Pamela and Rob Sands, J.D. ’84, and becomes the seventh school and college within Pace University.
