Sam Michalowski, PhD
Associate Dean of Institutional Research

Sam Michalowski joins Pace as associate dean of Institutional Research, bringing more than two decades of experience in institutional research, assessment, accreditation, and data-informed planning. He comes to Pace after 10 years at Fairleigh Dickinson University, serving first as associate provost for academic affairs and then as associate vice president of institutional effectiveness and planning, holding the role of accreditation liaison officer for Middle States through both titles. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the CUNY Graduate Center and an MS in Justice Studies from Arizona State University.

Sam will lead the Office of Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research, strengthening the University’s use of data, assessment, and analytics to inform decision-making and advance academic priorities. His extensive experience in institutional effectiveness and accreditation will be especially valuable as Pace implements and measures progress toward its Academic Master Plan.
