Marie Boster

Marie Boster joined Pace University as Executive Director for Media Relations in 2018 and in two years, positive news coverage for the university doubled. Prior to joining Pace she was an Executive Vice President at DKC serving national and local clients.  A former congressional Chief of Staff in Washington, DC and New York City, Marie has experience in Albany, and worked as a policy analyst for the New York City Council. She uses her diverse skill set to help Pace navigate press, politics and policy. Marie is the chief spokesperson for the University.

Rachana Shah

Rachana Shah came straight to Pace in 2019 after years of serving as Senior Policy Advisor for a Member of Congress in Washington, DC. With a law degree and experience working with the media, nonprofits, and diverse communities in NYC and Westchester, she helps navigate policy and regulatory issues for Pace. Rachana serves as the key Pace liaison with federal and state elected officials and as the principal lobbyist for the University. Her work helps make the voices of Pace students heard in Washington, DC and Albany.

Jerry McKinstry

Jerry McKinstry leverages his strong ties to Westchester media, government, elected officials, the business community and local organizations for Pace University. Since joining the team in August of 2019, Jerry has helped faculty and staff secure placements in regional and national outlets. A former reporter for the Journal News, columnist for Newsday, and contributor for News 12 in Westchester, he has also worked for the Westchester County Executive’s Office and has been an adjunct journalism professor.

Chantel Cabrera

Chantel Cabrera is the Director of Public Affairs for New York City and in this role combines her passion for at-promise youth and her community relations and local government expertise.  She comes to Pace after serving as the Director of Community Affairs for New York State Senator Brian Kavanagh. Prior to working with the New York State Senate, she spent five years at New York Center for Interpersonal Development a leading Staten Island based non-profit organization as the Director of Workforce Initiatives. Chantel is a native New Yorker and Licensed Master Social Worker.

Shannon Thyberg joined Pace University’s Media Relations team in 2015. She coordinates and supports the schools with media opportunities, tracks all the media mentions and updates our website and the community about the important stories that shape Pace University. A former school teacher, Shannon is always ready to educate and spread the word about media and communications.
