Many states and financial services institutions offer 529 savings programs for families to save money for a child’s college education. Each program has separate rules and regulations governing how funds may be used and how to have monies sent to the Pace University. Always check with your provider about how and when to request release of funds, as well as what documents, such as an electronic copy of the student’s bill, are needed.
If you participate in either the Guaranteed Savings Plan or Investment Plan programs, you must first contact the program to request that a payment be issued. You should always provide a copy of your tuition bill when making your request.
Please note that payments from your program accounts may take up to ten (10) business days after the program approves your request before the funds are issued to and received by Pace University.
Many 529 College Savings Plans now have a digital option. When requesting your withdrawal, look to see if digital disbursement is available from your plan. If the digital option is not available, please make sure the remittance address, listed below has been updated by your plan program.

Additionally, the student may be placed on a financial hold, and registration may be dropped for non-payment.

A check not honored by the bank is subject to a $20 returned check charge (this fee is non-refundable). Any balance unpaid on the student account as a result of the returned check is subject to a late payment penalty. The University reserves the right to require a cashier’s check or certified check on future payments.
A payment returned for non-sufficient funds is subject to a $20 NSF Fee and any unpaid balance as a result of an NSF payment will be subject to a late payment penalty.
Payment Plans
Pace University offers payment plans accessible through the Payment Portal. These plans enable students or their authorized user to pay scheduled installments toward tuition, fees, and housing. Students and families may find installment payments more manageable than a single lump payment each semester. These interest-free payment plans are not loans; therefore, there are no credit checks. These plans are available for the fall, spring, summer terms.
All students are eligible to take advantage of these payment plans. Please note there is a non-refundable enrollment fee each term, and students must re-enroll in a plan each semester. The link to the Payment Plans will detail payment due dates, type of payments accepted, (credit cards, web checks, ACH payments), as well as fees associated with late payments.
Payment Plans are only available online. If you enroll in a plan after the start date, back payments are required. There is no late enrollment fee. However, after enrolling into a plan a late fee of $25 may be assessed if an installment amount is not satisfied by the due date. Again, there is no late fee for late enrollment that requires back payments upon enrollment..
To enroll in a payment plan, students’ prior semester balances must be paid first.
-
For students who wish to grant access to an “authorized” user, the portal will provide the option for students to send an invitation email to whomever the student “authorizes”. The invitation will include access to the student account information and submit a payment on the student’s behalf.
