Seminar: Introduction to Grant Writing and Finding the Funding Opportunities

Beth Schachter, PhD will present a 1-hour seminar on grantsmanship for the Pace University faculty. The seminar will be an introductory one, aimed at informing faculty in all disciplines about the various types of extramural funding (e.g., grants, fellowships, career development awards). We will discuss the rationale for applying for funding, the importance of finding funding source the fit the project and the applicant, and a strategy for preparing successful application. The objective of the seminar is to encourage faculty to further their scholarly efforts through extramurally funded projects.
