Financial Aid for Veterans

We understand that financing your education is crucial in the decision making process.

At Pace, our goal is to offer every student as much financial assistance as possible, based upon availability and need. Financial aid resources include scholarships and grants, on-campus employment, and loans. High-achieving students have access to a broad range of merit-based scholarships. All admitted students are considered for every available option.

How To Apply For Financial Aid

You may be eligible for several types of financial aid that will help pay for college. You should submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) even if you are receiving VA educational benefits. Some GI Bill® benefits are not impacted by the FAFSA.

These online tools will show you how affordable a Pace education really is:

  • Net Price Calculator (for prospective undergraduate students only) - This online calculator will help you estimate your financial aid package.
  • Merit Scholarship Estimator (for prospective undergraduate students only) - This online calculator will provide you with how much aid may be granted based on your academic achievement. No FAFSA is required to receive award estimate.

Accepting Your Financial Aid

Once you are accepted to the University, review the Financial Aid Booklets for information on accepting your financial aid package, how to apply for Federal Direct Parent Loans and view tutorials that will help you complete the required steps to receive your aid.

Reporting Income And Veterans Benefits

Read and follow the FAFSA instructions for each question. The way in which you report income and benefits on your FAFSA may differ from what you report to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Some guidelines

  • Veterans non-education benefits such as Disability, Death Pension, or Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC), and/or VA Educational Work Study allowances should be reported as untaxed income on your FAFSA
  • Report your food allowance (BAS)
  • Do not report your military housing allowance (BAQ or BAH) or the value of your on-base military housing

Institutional Scholarships And Grants

Pace University will offer merit awards to veterans and dependents of veterans that have demonstrated academic excellence at prior institutions or secondary schools. Institutional Scholarships And Grants are tuition specific and are duplicative to Post-9/11 GI BILL® benefits. All scholarships and grants that are tuition specific must be deducted from the tuition and fees reported to the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
