Aafreen is an experienced educator and scholar currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English at St. John’s University, New York. She holds an MA in English from Brooklyn College where she was the recipient of the Rose Goldstein Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence in the field of English Studies.
Aafreen also holds a BA in English from Miranda House, University of Delhi, and a TESOL Certificate from the University of Arizona. She has worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at LaGuardia Community College and St. John’s University, and has taught ESL in the NYC public school system. Her teaching expertise spans English composition, ESL instruction, and academic tutoring.
Aafreen believes in creating a student-centered, inclusive classroom environment to help students achieve their full potential. When she is not teaching, Afreen expresses herself through painting and poetry.
