ASPIRE Program

Our flexible transfer credit policy and access to academic scholarships make the most of your prior credits toward a high-quality, individualized, and affordable English, Writing, and Rhetoric degree. Unique to the English, Writing, and Rhetoric degree, you also benefit from our career-focused curriculum. Majors complete a Professionalization Program which includes career advising, career branding, and field experience.

Mentorship and Internships

In our department, you will work with faculty one-on-one and departmentally to discover their interests, develop their writing, and customize a plan to include courses, career, and community opportunities. This dynamic individualized, student-centered approach to learning encourages your exploration of our array of critical and creative disciplines.

Joining us early in your college career offers you extra benefits, like flexibility in your course selections and the ability to maximize your experiences by getting involved with community, planning for a combined graduate degree program, and earning up to 9 credits in internships.
