Political Science

Delve into Politics, Power and Ideology

In our Political Science program, you’ll combine fundamental political theories with authentic experiences that bring these concepts to life. You’ll connect with real policymakers, engage in stimulating discussions on a wide breadth of political and social issues, and sharpen your critical thinking skills that will prepare you for success in a number of fast-growing related fields.

Unique Opportunities

Sharpen your skills. Pace hosts award-winning Model UN teams on its New York City and Westchester campuses, with both programs touting legacies of success in regional, national, and international competitions. The marketable skills you will develop in Model UN are inextricably linked to the political science program – in fact, Model UN is offered both as a class and a student club.

Pace is home to a New York Tau chapter of Pi Gamma Mu, the International Honor Society in social Sciences. Pi Gamma Mu provides opportunities to bolster your resume, connect you to career opportunities, apply for graduate school scholarships and attend meetings and conventions.

Through the Pace Cooperative Education Program and contacts from the Political Science faculty, you’ll be connected to exciting internships and career opportunities at the local, state, national, and international level.

Jeremiah Williams '23 found his place on campus within the political science department. He cites courses taught by President Krislov and Matthew Bolton as influential in his journey to understanding the political world.

"I chose to attend Pace namely due to the Career Services program that showed promise in advancing my career interests. Pair that with the locales of the downtown financial district of New York City, an enthusiastic Welcome Center, and, of course, a significant financial aid scholarship offer, and Pace was the leading candidate for my undergraduate studies."
