In our environmental studies and science department, you’ll develop crucial skills in research, problem-solving, and analysis to tackle the biggest challenges facing our environment. With focuses on sustainability, advocacy and policy work, and opportunities to conduct research alongside faculty, you’ll be gaining the hands-on experience necessary to prepare you for this fast-growing field.
Our institute draws on the resources of Pace University to advance environmental knowledge, ecosystem protection and smart decision-making in the New York City and Hudson Valley regions. Through hands-on experiences and place-based learning, the institute emphasizes training using unique educational opportunities.
We help connect you to projects and experiences through internships, independent research, study abroad programs, and by conducting research alongside departmental faculty. Our MS in Environmental Science and Policy uniquely combines science and advocacy to help you become an effective agent of change. In integrating science, policy, law, and communication skills, our program will immerse you in real-life environmental challenges, preparing you for a world-changing career in the public, private, or non-profit sectors.
