Pontia has taught ESL for more than 15 years. She received a BA in Spanish Language and Literature, an MA in Tourism Administration from The George Washington University, and an MA in TESOL from American University in Washington, DC.
A lover of languages and travel, Pontia has lived and studied in Europe and has taught English in South America and the Middle East. She is particularly fond of teaching grammar and pronunciation.
While teaching is her main passion, she also has freelanced as a travel writer, sharing her stories and photographs. Her hobbies include crocheting, playing the tar, and spending time in nature.
