The minimum English proficiency to be successful in the below courses is CEFR B2, TOEFL score of 62, or IELTS score of 6.

Business and Professional English: Skills for Success

This course will help you understand American business and professional culture. The course will give you a practical framework for success in professional and business settings such as using positive body language, engaging in meetings and negotiations, writing cover letters and resumes, interacting in professional and business settings, and creating an effective social media profile. As a result, you will learn the skills you need to begin navigating the professional and American business environment.

In this course, you will:

  • Read and critically assess business-oriented texts
  • Think critically in a variety of business and professional-related situations and scenarios
  • Develop business and professional vocabulary and language strategy skills
  • Produce an American-style cover letter and resume
  • Create an effective professional social media profile
  • Produce and present information effectively in professional-style communications
  • Effectively ask and respond to interview or work-related questions
