The English Language Institute’s Westchester campus is located in White Plains, a 40-minute train ride from New York City.  It is a safe, quiet neighborhood with easy access to shopping and a short shuttle ride to Pace’s Pleasantville campus.  There are a number of housing options available.

Staying with a local family is a great way to experience life in New York and practice your English outside of class. University Residence hall

During our Summer sessions, students may live on-campus at Dannat Hall in White Plains.  Dannat Hall features furnished, single occupancy rooms for students walking distance from classes in a community living space.

Many students stay in the heart of White Plains at the local YMCA. In addition to your room, guest have access to the gym and pool.  It is a short 20-minute walk from the ELI.


Live like a local. Many students choose to live in an apartment in Westchester. This is a very authentic experience. You can find an apartment or roommate through 4stay.
