Introduction to Tourism

Course Description

Tourism is one of the world’s largest industries contributing trillions of dollars to our global economy. Even less well-known countries are bolstering their tourism in order to reap the economic benefits. This has resulted in a surge of job opportunities worldwide. The industry has taken a hit with COVID-19, but will bounce back.

Your travel experience in the USA and English language skills make you a strong candidate for numerous lucrative positions in the industry. Whether you are looking for temporary tourism work in your country or a career, this weekend workshop will help you. Opportunity awaits!

Over two weeks, you will:

  • discover which sector is the best fit for your interests, experience, and background
  • leave feeling well-informed about the travel industry
  • gain useful industry-specific terminology

There is an optional additional research assignment/ essay to be completed after the course. This lets you delve more deeply into a related topic of interest to you. Feedback is provided by the instructor.
