Justin West

Justin is a New York City based scenic, projection, and graphic designer. He has designed for plays, opera, ballet, and musicals; as well as event and interior design. His work has been described as "compelling" (New York Times, I'm a Stranger Here Myself), "evocative" (TimeOut, I'm A Stranger Here Myself), "excellent" (Theatermania, A Taste of Things to Come), and "visually arresting" (Curtainup, Tennessee Williams 1982). His work has been seen at Classic Stage Company, the 9/11 Memorial Museum, Keen Company, Walkerspace, The York Theatre, New Ohio Theater, La MaMa ETC, Clarion Opera, Dixon Place, Pace University, the Actors Studio Drama School, Pan-Asian Rep, Symphony Space, The Abingdon Theatre, the Alchemical Theater Laboratory, The Lion at Theatre Row, the American Bard; and regionally at Cas Di Cultura (Aruba), Park Playhouse (Albany), The Prince Music Theater (Philadelphia), The Byham Theater (Pittsburgh), the Provincetown Tennessee Williams’ Fest, Quisisana Resort, and more. A Houston, Texas native, Justin grew up with a background in construction and a passion for the arts. He enjoys scenic design, projection design, digital arts, scenic painting, model building, animation, and anything in between. He strives to better himself in each discipline and continually encourages each medium to influence the other.

Justin is a graduate of Pace University with degrees in performing arts design and digital arts.
