The Adjunct promotion application is now open for submissions for academic year 2023!
Eligibility Criteria: Please refer to the Union of Adjunct Faculty at Pace Collective Bargaining Agreement or this guideline (PDF) to determine your eligibility.
Please note that any eligible adjunct faculty applying for a promotion must have served in their present rank for a minimum of three years at Pace University. These guidelines do not apply for the adjunct faculty at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law.
How to Apply: Please follow the instructions below to submit your Adjunct Promotion Application for consideration.
Complete the online application form and include the following materials:
- Letter of Intent which includes a brief memo indicating that you are applying for a promotion
- Current resume and/or curriculum vitae
- Minimum of two (2) letters of recommendation from sources other than the Department Chair
- A teaching portfolio that contains teaching philosophy and pedagogy, appropriate use of technology, assessment of learning outcomes, and evidence of student learning (eg, student evaluations tallies, comments, and peer evaluations)
New for this academic year! The adjunct faculty is no longer required to have a Department Chair recommendation prior to submitting their application form.
Deadline Submission: Adjunct Promotion Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2023 by 5:00 p.m. for consideration.
Next Steps: All candidates will be notified of their promotion in no later than May 1, 2023.
All approved adjunct promotions (with the respective per credit increase) will be effective as of September 1, 2023.
