A centralized team of business professionals that strive to standardize the policies and procedures for key faculty data and uniformly apply credit modifications within/across the various schools/colleges.
By closing the loop and leveraging standardized practices, we help our faculty to foster collaborative thinking to further drive workplace innovation while efficiently addressing faculty workload issues in conformity with the Faculty Handbook and UAFP Collective Bargaining Agreement.

For addition or removal to faculty's course assignment to be reflected in Banner.
For additiona or removal to faculty's release time to be reflected in Banner.
Request for 8-credits or more from the full-time faculty standard workload must be approved by the Provost Office prior to the credits being assigned.

Policy on Credit Modification
Please be advised that the following policy on Credit Modification was approved by the JFC effective for the Fall 2023 semester in accordance with the Faculty Handbook:
Academic Year (Fall/Spring):
As of Fall 2023, all course credits will be modified as of the first day of class. Please note that the actual day/time of course enrollment will be recorded as of the day after the first day of class at 8:35 a.m. For example, if the class starts on September 5, 2023, the course enrollment will be recorded as of September 6, 2023 at 8:35 a.m. and the credits will be modified accordingly.No additional modifications will be made to credits and/or pay after the first day of class, regardless of enrollment fluctuations +/- at the drop/add date.
Please note the following exceptions: 1) if after the drop/add date, the enrollment is at zero resulting in a class cancellation; and 2) research projects and independent studies will be modified as of the 6th week of the semester.
For any full-time faculty whose workload falls below the required minimum during the academic year, the faculty will work with their respective school dean to address any underage.
Intersessions (Summer/Winter/May):
Summer, Winter, and May intersessions will follow the same credit modification guidelines as outlined above.Credit Modification Calculation
