The Highline Park

The High Line Park is one of NYC's newest public parks! Also known as New York's "Park in the Sky", the High Line was an abandoned elevated railroad that has been transformed into a beautiful public space. It is a wonderful example of how regular New Yorkers have organized their community and forced the city government to turn an eyesore into a premier destination. On this walk, you will travel through the neighborhoods of the Meatpacking District, Chelsea and the Hudson Yards to learn about the history and culture of each.

Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library are two of the most important buildings in New York City. They are beautiful works of architecture and function as important hubs of transport and learning for many New Yorkers. The Brooklyn Bridge has a special place in Pace University students' hearts because it is right outside our windows! The Brooklyn Bridge and the Brooklyn Promenade are two of the most popular destinations for tourists and New Yorkers alike because of the beautiful scenic views that one can experience from each location. On this walk, you will learn about the history of the city as it relates to engineering, architecture, landmarks, the Revolutionary War and even pizza! How could you pass up learning about pizza?!
