Caroline Liem is a casting director, audition coach and international teacher based in Los Angeles. Her highly acclaimed audition and text analysis classes have been taught throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Russia. Additionally, Caroline has enjoyed guest teaching at universities throughout the United States, including University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, The Juilliard School, NYU Tisch, DePaul University, Loyola-Chicago, Columbia College and Occidental College. Before there was Glee, there was Popular, the first show she worked on alongside Ryan Murphy. Many wonderful casting experiences followed working with prominent producers and directors, including Lauren Shuler Donner, David Goyer, Jon Turteltaub and Bryan Singer, as well as with the casting department at Disney Studios overseeing such projects as “Gone In Sixty Seconds”, “Pearl Harbor,” and “Gangs of New York.” She served as the Casting Executive for the award winning late night show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Her background as a musician and singer progressing to actor and casting director provided Ms. Liem with a firm foundation and distinct network of professionals. She graduated with an MFA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a BA from UCLA, and is a member of the Casting Society of America and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
