Pace Student Peer Advisors: Academic Year 2022-2023
Our office is also staffed by Pace students who we call "Pace Abroad Leaders" (PALs). PALs help to answer general questions about Pace study abroad programs. All PALs are returned study abroad students who are eager to share their experiences with you! They also participate in presentations to various students at Pace, sharing the student perspective about study abroad.
Audrey is a Senior at Pace majoring in information systems and minoring in Spanish. She got into Comillas University in Madrid for the Fall 2022 semester but unfortunately, due to scheduling with her major, was unable to go. She went to Spain in 2017 and decided she would study and learn the language so she could one day move there (that is still her goal!). Audrey is a fourth year member of Pace’s acapella group, Tonal Recall, and she's planning to join the Women in Tech club. She is very excited to be a part of the Study Abroad team and can’t wait to meet you all!
Erika is a Senior at Pace, studying global marketing at the Lubin School of Business. She grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and spent her senior year of high school living and studying in Peru. She spent the last 2 summers in Europe (travelling in 2021 and participating in a study abroad program in Greece in 2022). Erika studied abroad for her Spring 2022 semester in Mannheim, Germany! At Pace, she served as the President of the Study Abroad Club and is an Honors College Mentor. Erika fell in love with traveling at a young age and believes that studying abroad is a life-changing experience. She is excited to be working with the Education Abroad office to help guide students who want to study abroad as part of their Pace Path.
Julia is a Senior at Pace Pleasantville, majoring in applied psychology with human relations, and minoring in criminal justice and homeland security. Julia studied abroad in Norway during the summer of 2022. She has traveled internationally many times before — to Austria, Canada, England, Slovakia, and Sweden, but never alone. While abroad, Julia travelled to Copenhagen, Denmark, and Barcelona, Spain. Julia’s favorite part about being abroad was meeting new people, exploring museums, and experiencing what locals do on an everyday basis.
Livvy is a Senior majoring in Criminal Justice with minors in History and Spanish. They studied abroad in Montevideo, Uruguay, for the Spring 2022 semester at Universidad de Montevideo. Livvy is originally from upstate New York (outside Syracuse), loves traveling, and have been able to visit 8 countries and is looking forward to visiting more as soon as possible! At Pace, Livvy is involved in the Criminal Justice Society, honors and WPUB (check out Livvy's station International Bops!). They are very excited to be working as a PAL this semester and are looking forward to sharing their experience on studying and traveling in Latin America!
Maiwenn is a transfer student from CEFAM — a French-American Business School located in Lyon (the second biggest city in France), which is one of Pace’s partner schools. At Pace, she is a Senior with an Arts and Entertainment Management major. With dual citizenship from France and Switzerland, and relatives all around the world, she grew up traveling by herself around Europe and the United States. After studying at an international high school, she moved to Scotland for a semester and interned for a marketing company in Barcelona, Spain. She is a pro at anticipating the unpredictable when traveling abroad alone and is looking forward to sharing her tips!
