Study Abroad Fair

Pace's Study Abroad Fairs offer students the opportunity to learn about studying abroad as part of their Pace Path! Speak one-on-one with Pace students who have studied abroad, Pace professors offering faculty-led Pace Travel Courses, and representatives from our wonderful partner universities worldwide. Pace offers study abroad programs in 50+ countries.

Gilman National Scholarship Information Session
Thursday, September 17, 2026, 3:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m., Zoom

Learn more about the Gilman National Scholarship program, which is designed to support students with limited financial means who wish to study abroad. The program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who receive a Federal Pell Grant as part of their financial aid package. In this session, we’ll talk about everything you need to know to submit a competitive application: eligibility requirements, essay tips, application deadlines, advice from a recent award recipient at Pace, and more.

France Student Visa Workshop
Thursday, October 8, 2026, 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m., 161 William Street, 16th Floor Conference Room

Students studying in France for the Spring 2027 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn the specific steps of the French visa application process, which takes up to 12 weeks to complete. Students who are unable to acquire a visa will need to defer their study abroad plans to a future term.

Italy Student Visa Workshop
Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m., Location to be confirmed

Students studying in Italy for the Spring 2027 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn about the visa application process, which takes several months to complete. Students who are unable to acquire a visa will need to defer their study abroad plans to a future term.

Spain Student Visa Workshop
Thursday, October 15, 2026, 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m., Location to be confirmed

Students studying in Spain for the Spring 2027 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn about the visa application process, which is done either as a group through Pace Education Abroad or as an individual. Note: Students opting into the group process must submit all required visa application materials to the Pace Education Abroad office by the posted deadline. If this deadline is missed, the student must make an individual appointment with the Spanish Consulate to acquire their own student visa. Individual appointments are not guaranteed and are difficult to come by. Students who are unable to acquire a visa will need to defer their study abroad plans to a future term.

Money Management & Housing Abroad

Learn how to manage your finances while abroad, including creating a personalized budget, and how to navigate the housing search. This event is open to all students who have been approved to study abroad.

All students studying abroad during the January Intersession & Spring Semester 2027 terms must attend one of the pre-departure orientation sessions listed above, which covers important academic, housing, travel, health and safety information. Those who do not attend will no longer be approved to study abroad.

Life Skills with Study Abroad Alumni

Meet Pace students who have already studied abroad in various countries – to learn firsthand about their experiences with culture shock, travel tips, and making friends. This event is open to all students.

Pre-Departure Orientation for Families of Study Abroad Students
Thursday, December 3, 2026, 7:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Zoom

Parents and guardians of students studying abroad during the January Intersession or Spring Semester 2027 terms are welcome to attend this pre-departure orientation session, which recaps the information from the student pre-departure orientation, with a focus on how parents and guardians can best support their student while their student is abroad.
