Pre-Departure Workshops for Summer & Fall Semester 2026 Study Abroad Students

Meet other Pace students who have been approved to study abroad during the Summer and Fall 2026 terms. After reading new updates in your Terra Dotta application portal, we'll review the next steps live in your study abroad journey.

Spain Student Visa Workshop
Thursday, March 5, 2026, 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m., 1 Pace Plaza Student Center East

Students studying in Spain for the Fall 2026 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn about the visa application process, which is done either as a group through Pace Education Abroad or as an individual. Note: Students opting into the group process must submit all required visa application materials to the Pace Education Abroad office by March 20, 2026. If this deadline is missed, the student must make an individual appointment with the Spanish Consulate to acquire their own student visa. Individual appointments are not guaranteed and are difficult to come by. Students who are unable to acquire a visa will need to defer their study abroad plans to a future term.

France Student Visa Workshop
Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m., 161 William Street, 16th Floor Conference Room

Students studying in France for the Fall 2026 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn the specific steps of the French visa application process, which takes up to 12 weeks to complete. Students who are unable to acquire a visa will need to defer their study abroad plans to a future term.

Money Management & Housing Abroad
Wednesday, March 25, 2026, 12:10 p.m.–1:10 p.m., 1 Pace Plaza, W623

Learn how to manage your finances while abroad, including creating a personalized budget, and how to navigate the housing search. This event is open to all students who have been approved to study abroad.

Italy Student Visa Workshop
Thursday, March 26, 2026, 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m., 161 William Street, 16th Floor Conference Room

Students studying in Italy for the Fall 2026 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn about the visa application process, which takes several months to complete. Students who are unable to acquire a visa will need to defer their study abroad plans to a future term.

All students studying abroad during the Summer & Fall 2026 terms must attend one of the pre-departure orientation sessions listed above, which covers important academic, housing, travel, health and safety information. Those who do not attend will no longer be approved to study abroad.

Life Skills with Study Abroad Alumni

Meet Pace students who have already studied abroad in various countries – to learn firsthand about their experiences with culture shock, travel tips, and making friends. This event is open to all students.

Pre-Departure Orientation for Families of Study Abroad Students
Thursday, April 30, 2026, 7:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m., Zoom

Parents and guardians of students studying abroad in January or Spring 2026 are welcome to attend this pre-departure orientation session, which recaps the information from the student pre-departure orientation, with a focus on how parents and guardians can best support their student while their student is abroad.
