Pace Education Abroad's Spring 2023 Study Abroad Fairs

Interactive sessions for students interested in studying abroad as part of their Pace Path – focusing on financial aid and scholarships for study abroad; identity and study abroad; a panel of students who went abroad; the process of study abroad at Pace; and more.

  • Scholarship Spotlight: Gilman National Scholarship
    February 7, 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m., Zoom
    Learn more about the Gilman National Scholarship program, which is designed to support students with limited financial means who wish to study abroad. The program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who receive a Federal Pell Grant as part of their financial aid package. In this session, we’ll talk about everything you need to know to submit a competitive application: eligibility requirements, essay tips, application deadlines, advice from a recent award recipient at Pace, and more. Join the Gilman National Scholarship Zoom session. Password: ABROAD. This event is co-hosted by Dr. Moira Egan, Director of Prestigious Awards and Graduate Fellowships in Pace’s Office of Research.
  • Study Abroad Social
    February 8, 12:10 p.m.–1:10 pm, 1 Pace Plaza, Bianco Room
    Students who have previously studied abroad are invited to mingle with other study abroad alumni, share stories with students interested in studying abroad, and enjoy some refreshments. RSVP preferred – confirm your attendance for the Study Abroad Social. This event is co-sponsored by the Pace Study Abroad Club.

  • Spain Visa Workshop (Comillas University & PPA Sitges Program students)
    March 2, 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m., Zoom
    Students studying in Spain for the Fall 2023 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn about the visa application process, which is done as a group. Note: Comillas & PPA Sitges students must submit all required visa materials to the Pace Education Abroad office by March 23. Failure to do so means that the student will be unable to acquire a visa and will need to defer their study abroad plans to a future term.
  • France Visa Workshop

    Students studying in France for the Fall 2023 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn the specific steps of the French visa application process, which takes up to 12 weeks to complete.
  • Italy Visa Workshop

    Students studying in Italy for the Fall 2023 semester must attend this Visa Workshop to learn the specific steps of the Italian visa application process, which takes up to 12 weeks to complete.
  • Money Management & Housing Abroad

    Learn how to manage your finances while abroad, including creating a personalized budget, and how to navigate the housing search.
  • Life Abroad with Study Abroad Alumni

    Meet Pace students who have already studied abroad in various countries to learn firsthand about their experiences with culture shock, travel tips, and making friends.

    MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR ONE OF THESE DATES!
    All students studying abroad in Summer or Fall 2023 must attend one of the pre-departure orientation sessions – which covers important academic, housing, travel, and health and safety information. Those who do not attend will not be able to register for their study abroad CRN, jeopardizing their ability to study abroad.
  • Parent Pre-Departure Orientation
    May 11, 7:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m., Zoom

    Parents and guardians of students studying abroad in Summer or Fall 2023 are welcome to attend this pre-departure orientation session, which recaps the information from the student pre-departure orientation, with a focus on how parents and guardians can best support their student while their student is abroad.
