A collaboration between Pace University’s College of Health Professions and Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, the Master of Science degree in Health Informatics is an exceptional interdisciplinary program at the intersection of healthcare and technology.

Graduates are taught the skills needed to analyze healthcare data for a variety of employers including hospitals, practices, virtual healthcare, payers (insurance), and pharmaceuticals.
Day-to-day activities can include collecting, analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting data to improve clinical, process, and patient outcomes. This work will be used to develop data-driven solutions to improve health services, reduce costs, and create efficiencies in how healthcare is provided using data and technology.
Through a Master of Science in Health Informatics, you will become familiar the data systems used to provide care, including electronic medical records, computerized provider order entry systems, imaging systems and lab systems.

Coursework is designed to prepare students to work at top institutions in the field, including Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York-Presbyterian, Columbia Medical Center, and New York University. Other career opportunities include major pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, Regeneron, and Bayer, as well as systems like Blue Cross and Blue Shield, United Health, Aetna, government entities, and non-profits.
Admission Requirements
- Be a graduate of an accredited baccalaureate program
- Demonstrate scholastic aptitude as evidenced by previous academic work, motivation, leadership potential and maturity
- Have an undergraduate cumulative QPA of 3.0
- No standardized admissions test (GMAT, GRE, or Miller Analogy) is required
- Professional or related experience is preferred, but not required. Students can be successful even without a background in healthcare.
