Adolescent Education, BSPREPARE TO SHAPE OUR FUTURE
Prepare to teach in middle or high school by becoming a professional who can handle many types of classroom situations and develop creative strategies to help every student be successful. By completing extensive study in a chosen concentration area—Biology, Chemistry, English, History/Social Studies, Spanish (NYC only), or Mathematics—our students become equipped with the knowledge and skills to be excellent teachers, who help today’s students become tomorrow’s leaders.
All of the School of Education programs (undergraduate and graduate) are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and our rigorous curriculum is designed to prepare our students to meet New York State’s high standards for educators. In addition, Pace students begin their fieldwork during freshman year, ensuring that they gain in-classroom experience early on.
