May 26, 2022: A message from Susan Donahue, Interim Associate VP, Human Resources:
We are again saddened by the violent acts resulting in numerous deaths and injuries, from the tragic taking of lives earlier this week in Uvalde, Texas, and the recent, similar attacks in Buffalo, New York City and elsewhere. You may be feeling that you need some help to get through this sad and troubled time. The Pace community is here to support you, and we want you to know about the resources available.
The Employee Assistance Program offered through Aetna includes confidential counseling and coaching support, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To access services, please call 1-888-238-6232 or visit their Resources for Living website, username: Pace University, password: EAP. You do not need to be an Aetna health plan member to use this service. If you have questions about this resource, please contact the Benefits team.
Our Counseling Centers are offering a supportive space for the Pace faculty/staff community to come together and discuss feelings, reactions, fears, and coping mechanisms. You are invited to join us on Tuesday, May 31 from 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. on Zoom. Be sure to register in advance to receive the Zoom link.
If you have any questions or are not sure where to turn to for resources, please contact our Employee Relations team.

Summer Flex 2022
Beginning Friday, July 1, and continuing through Friday, September 2, full-time employees will have the opportunity to take off five Fridays, or the equivalent amount of time.
This extra time off is in addition to your standard vacation allocation and is designed to be flexible. You may choose to take off every other Friday, or days that are not Friday, or ten half-days. Each school or division will administer flexible summer hours based on its priorities and workload. Each dean and vice president will create a schedule that ensures we provide full service to students and all our other constituencies. Your dean or vice president will announce how the program will work within your area.
Vacation Rollover due to COVID-19 (2022)
Through the pandemic, in recognition of the difficulty in scheduling time off, we have permitted some vacation rollover. Now, as we phase out of emergency mode and into our New Normal, we expect to return to a normal vacation policy. However, in this transition period, you may roll over up to three accrued, unused vacation days from this fiscal year into the next one (July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023). Those days will be added to your annual allotment and must be used by June 30, 2023. If you leave the University during the next fiscal year, the rollover days will not be paid out.
Vacation time must be used by June 30 of each year. We understand that once again, it was a challenging year, and scheduling time off has been difficult. While we encourage everyone to take their time before June 30, 2021, to relax and refresh, you may roll over up to five accrued, unused vacation days into next year (July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022). Those days will be added to your annual allotment and must be used by June 30, 2022. If you leave the University during the next fiscal year, those rollover days will not be paid out.
