Supporting Growth and Excellence at Pace University: Our Performance Management and Development Process
At Pace University, we believe that performance management is not just a process—it's a partnership. Through our Performance Management Development Process (PMDP), we empower staff and managers to work collaboratively toward SMART goals, professional growth, and institutional excellence.
Why Performance Management Matters at Pace
Effective performance management is a cornerstone of employee morale, engagement, and retention. It ensures that every team member understands their role, expectations, and how their contributions support the university’s mission. PMDP is designed to:
- Establish Clear Goals and Expectations
Employees and managers work together to define goals and performance standards that align with departmental and university-wide objectives. - Drive Accountability and Results
Through measurable outcomes and behavioral benchmarks, staff are empowered to take ownership of their performance and development. - Foster Continuous Improvement
Ongoing feedback, coaching, and mid-year check-ins help identify opportunities for growth and ensure alignment throughout the year. - Recognize and Reward Contributions
Performance is directly linked to recognition and rewards, reinforcing a culture of excellence and appreciation.
